Effective date: 3 October 2026.
These terms cover the TradeNest website and app. The commercial schedule includes customer-paid 5% charges, employer packages and optional advertising. Features and charges apply only after the relevant service becomes available and its conditions are displayed before purchase. Payment holding and automatic release are not included in ordinary payment links and must not be assumed available.
Operator: TradeNest Ghana

1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the TradeNest website and app, including listings, messages, job opportunities, services and any transaction features expressly made available on the platform. By creating an account or completing a transaction, you agree to the applicable terms presented to you. Personal information is handled in accordance with the privacy information presented for the features you use.
TradeNest connects buyers, sellers, employers, job seekers and service providers. Unless a listing expressly identifies TradeNest as the seller or service provider, the agreement for the goods or services is between the relevant users. TradeNest’s responsibilities for its own services and payment administration remain subject to these terms and applicable law.
2. Accounts and purposes
Where available, you may select one or more purposes, such as Buyer, Seller, Job Seeker, Employer or Service Provider / Artisan. These choices help organise your experience; they do not create separate accounts or establish an employment relationship with TradeNest.
Provide accurate information, keep your contact details current and choose your own password. Do not share passwords, verification codes or financial account PINs. Complete the verification checks required for the features you use. You must have legal capacity to enter the relevant agreement; a person acting for a business must be authorised to do so.
Existing users keep their accounts and may update their purposes where that feature is available without registering again. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly through the published support channel.
3. Listings and acceptable use
Publish accurate descriptions, actual prices, clear conditions and photographs you own or are authorised to use. Disclose defects, restrictions, availability, delivery charges and other material details. Do not publish unlawful, stolen, counterfeit or misleading goods or services, fraudulent jobs, discriminatory or abusive content, or personal information without authority.
Sellers and providers must hold any licences or permissions their activities require. TradeNest may review, reject or remove listings and restrict accounts for violations, suspected fraud or legal requirements. Listing approval does not certify the quality, identity, ownership or suitability of every advertised item or service.
4. Agreeing a transaction
Before paying, the parties must agree on the item or work, condition, quantity, total price, delivery or service location, estimated completion date and any cancellation or return conditions. For services, record the scope, materials, milestones and acceptance criteria where applicable.
Changes to the price, scope or completion date require agreement from both parties and must be recorded against the transaction where the platform supports this. Sellers must not substitute a materially different item without the buyer’s agreement.
5. Payment methods and fees
Use only payment methods displayed by TradeNest for the relevant transaction. Payments must be linked to the correct transaction reference. A payment screenshot alone does not establish successful receipt; payment must be confirmed through the authorised payment records.
The payer bears the payment provider’s processing charge, where permitted by the provider’s rules and applicable law. The amount must be disclosed before payment. The processing fee follows the provider’s applicable transaction rules; it is not necessarily a separate gateway charge for each item in a combined order.
For a supported product purchase, the customer pays a 5% TradeNest service charge on each item’s agreed price multiplied by quantity. The charge is added to the customer’s payable total. Delivery and payment-processing charges are excluded from the 5% calculation. An item priced at GHS 100 attracts GHS 5; two units priced at GHS 100 each attract GHS 10. For a supported service booking, the customer pays 5% of the agreed service amount. A milestone attracts a charge on its own payment amount, without charging the same amount twice.
The summary must show the product or service subtotal, TradeNest charge, delivery, other agreed costs, applicable taxes where required, permitted provider charge, final total and recipient proceeds. No undisclosed charge may be added after confirmation. The 5% applies to eligible product/service payments through the supported system, not to free browsing, standard listing publication, job-seeking, employment salaries or vehicle/property sale values under this schedule.

Paid job advertisements and GHS 20 listing promotions have no additional 5% TradeNest charge. Featured packages must not be sold before the promised placement works. Each package’s publication period starts when the approved advert or promotion goes live. Any deadline for using bundled vacancy credits must be disclosed before purchase; no undisclosed expiry applies. A posting fee covers the advertisement, not recruitment, candidate screening or a guaranteed hire. Promotion does not guarantee enquiries or sales.
No fee change will retrospectively alter an already agreed transaction. Refund treatment of fees is governed by section 10 and mandatory legal rights.
6. Transactions with payment held pending completion
This section applies only where TradeNest has enabled the feature through an approved payment arrangement and expressly identifies the transaction as eligible before payment. Ordinary payment links and direct payments do not automatically include payment-holding protection.
For an eligible transaction, the amount payable to the seller or service provider is not released merely because the payer has completed payment. Release depends on the completion and review conditions disclosed for that transaction.
Before payment, the transaction summary must identify the payment provider or authorised entity holding or controlling the funds, the applicable release conditions, review period, dispute process and fee deductions. TradeNest will administer release only within that entity’s approved arrangement.
Payments are processed through the authorised provider displayed at checkout. TradeNest is not represented as a bank, investment service or independently licensed escrow provider. Provider processing, settlement and transfer services are governed by their applicable rules. TradeNest remains responsible for its own charges, instructions, representations and actions; using a provider does not remove responsibility for funds TradeNest actually receives, controls, holds or releases.
Held transaction funds are not a savings product, investment or general-purpose customer wallet. No interest or investment return is promised. A record saying “payment pending” is not, by itself, evidence that funds are held in a segregated or protected account.
7. Delivery, completion and buyer review
Sellers and service providers must provide reliable evidence of delivery or completion when requested. A seller’s assertion alone does not prove that the agreed obligation has been fulfilled.
Buyers must inspect delivered goods or completed work promptly and either confirm acceptance or report a specific problem. Never confirm receipt or completion before it occurs. A confirmation must not be obtained through pressure or deception.
Product inspection rule for eligible supported transactions: report visible damage, missing items or a wrong item within 48 hours after confirmed delivery. Prompt reporting helps evidence review. This is not a blanket limit on claims about hidden defects, misleading descriptions or any right protected by law. The delivery event and reporting method must be disclosed before payment. A seller’s unsupported completion marker does not begin the period.
This inspection rule is separate from automatic payout release. Automatic release requires its own approved, disclosed rule and must not be assumed to occur at 48 hours. A service’s review period and acceptance criteria must be agreed for the particular work before payment.
For milestone services, any partial release requires milestones and payment amounts agreed in advance. Completion of one milestone does not authorise release of the full transaction amount.
8. Release and recipient payouts
This section applies only to eligible transactions under the approved arrangement described in section 6. An eligible payout may be authorised when the buyer confirms the agreed delivery or completion, or when a clearly disclosed review period expires after reliable completion evidence and notice, provided there is no unresolved dispute or other valid restriction.
Automatic release must not occur unless that rule was clearly disclosed before payment and the necessary completion, notice and review conditions have been met. Opening a timely dispute pauses release of the disputed amount. An undisputed amount may be released only where the transaction can be fairly separated and both parties are informed.
The recipient must provide accurate payout details and complete required checks. The net payout reflects disclosed fees, agreed refunds and any lawful transaction adjustments. Authorising release and receiving money in a bank or mobile money account are separate events; provider processing times will be communicated without promising instant receipt.
Any delay or restriction must be based on a stated reason, such as an unresolved dispute, payment reversal, identity check, suspected fraud or legal requirement. TradeNest will provide updates and the next review step where legally permitted. Funds must not be retained indefinitely without a valid basis.
9. Disputes
Report a problem through tradenestgh@gmail.com, quoting the transaction reference and providing relevant descriptions, messages, photographs, delivery evidence or work records. Report issues promptly, preferably during the stated review period. Expiry of a platform review period does not remove any right that applicable law makes non-waivable.
Examples include non-delivery, a materially inaccurate description, undisclosed damage or work that materially fails the agreed scope. Both parties will have an opportunity to respond. TradeNest will assess available evidence and communicate its proposed resolution and reasons.
Available evidence may include buyer photographs, videos, packaging and messages, and seller dispatch photographs, original listing details and delivery records. An unboxing video may help but is not the only acceptable evidence. Neither a complaint nor a seller’s allegation alone determines the outcome.
Possible outcomes include fulfilment, correction, an agreed return, full or partial refund, or release of the amount properly payable. No outcome is guaranteed merely because a complaint is filed. Either party may request reconsideration with relevant new evidence through the published support channel. TradeNest’s internal review does not prevent access to available provider, regulatory or court procedures.
Deliberately false claims, fabricated evidence and substituted returns may result in restrictions after a fair review. A rejected complaint alone does not establish dishonesty. Buyers must not be pressured to withdraw a genuine complaint or confirm completion prematurely.
10. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Notify TradeNest promptly if a transaction must be cancelled. Refund eligibility depends on what has been supplied, the agreed terms and applicable law. A seller or provider must not impose previously undisclosed cancellation charges.
Changing your mind does not automatically qualify for a refund. The disclosed seller return policy and applicable legal rights determine eligibility. Non-delivery, faulty goods and a materially inaccurate description are assessed separately.
For a confirmed faulty or wrongly supplied item, the seller bears reasonable agreed return transport costs. For an accepted change-of-mind return, the buyer bears the disclosed return transport costs unless otherwise agreed. TradeNest will communicate a verified return destination and instructions. Buyers must return the same item with its supplied accessories, subject to the reason for return and applicable rights. A refund may await return and reasonable inspection where appropriate. Sellers must not reject a valid claim merely by asserting misuse.
If a seller cannot supply an item or a provider cancels unperformed work, promptly notify the customer and arrange any refund properly due. Payments for partially completed services must reflect properly completed, agreed work. Customers must not incur previously undisclosed cancellation charges. For poor work, any proposed correction must have a clear scope and reasonable agreed completion date.
TradeNest service charges are normally non-refundable once the relevant platform service has been provided, including an approved change-of-mind return or cancellation. This does not apply to duplicate or incorrect charges, a platform service that was not provided, a refund arising from TradeNest’s own failure, or where repayment is required by law. A refund of an item price does not automatically decide the treatment of the service charge. Claims involving faulty or misdescribed goods will be assessed under applicable rights and the lawful, disclosed basis for any fee retained.
Refund decisions must separately address the item/service price, delivery, platform charge and provider processing charge, explaining every retained amount. Provider policy does not override mandatory rights. If a paid job advertisement is rejected before publication, refund its posting fee; any other deduction requires a lawful, previously disclosed basis. Undelivered advertising placement must be corrected or refunded as appropriate. Ending a properly published advertisement early by choice does not automatically entitle the advertiser to a full refund.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be requested through the original payment method. Any alternative requires appropriate verification and agreement. The refund amount and expected provider processing period will be communicated. Do not promise that a refund is complete before the provider confirms it.
11. Direct or off-platform payments
Payments made directly to another user or outside an expressly eligible TradeNest transaction are not covered by the platform’s payment-holding and release process. TradeNest may have limited ability to trace, recover or refund those payments. This does not exclude rights available under law or through a payment provider.
Do not treat an ordinary Paystack payment link, a successful checkout or a TradeNest account as evidence of escrow or guaranteed buyer protection.
12. Jobs and professional services
Employers must publish genuine vacancies and clear material requirements. Job seekers should check the employer and offer before sharing sensitive documents or making payments. Do not post fraudulent recruitment opportunities or require improper payments to secure a job.
Job adverts must identify the employer or authorised recruiter, role, location or remote arrangement, material requirements, application method and closing date. State pay information accurately where supplied. Standard browsing and applications are free. The employer’s paid package does not authorise charging applicants to secure an interview or job. TradeNest does not provide recruitment, screening, payroll or placement guarantees through a standard advert.
Artisans and service providers must describe their skills, relevant licences, coverage area, availability, price and important restrictions honestly. Agree on scope, materials, access, milestones and completion time before beginning work. Do not claim qualifications or insurance you do not hold.
Displaying a job or service listing does not make TradeNest the employer or guarantee employment, earnings, qualifications or workmanship. A service transaction may use the payment-holding process only if expressly eligible. Employment wages and payroll are not covered by that process without a separately approved arrangement.
Vehicles, property and rentals: the advertiser must own or be authorised to advertise the asset. Disclose material defects and restrictions. Buyers and tenants should verify ownership, documents, condition and the authority of the person receiving payment. TradeNest is not the owner, estate agent, legal adviser or guarantor merely because it hosts an advert. Standard listing publication does not transfer title, verify documents or protect a deposit. No percentage of the vehicle/property sale value applies under this schedule. Any specialist paid service requires separately disclosed terms.
13. Safety, privacy and communications
Use respectful communications and protect other users’ information. Share only the information reasonably necessary to complete a transaction. Do not publish precise private addresses, identity documents or financial credentials in listings or messages visible to others.
TradeNest may retain relevant transaction, payment and dispute records in accordance with its published privacy information and applicable requirements. Users should also keep their own messages and receipts. An account deletion request does not erase records that must lawfully be retained or remove obligations for open transactions.
Privacy information for the relevant feature explains the information collected, why it is used, necessary recipients including payment/delivery providers, retention and how to exercise available rights. These terms do not replace a Privacy Policy. Contact tradenestgh@gmail.com for privacy questions.
Website and app: the same account and disclosed transaction rules apply on both. Camera, photo, location and notification permissions should be requested only when relevant to a feature with its purpose explained. Customers may type their location where available instead of using device location. General area information may appear in listings; exact private addresses must not become public by default. Optional marketing choices are separate from essential account and transaction communications. Installing or uninstalling the app does not create or cancel a paid contract or refund entitlement.
14. Platform availability and responsibility
TradeNest will take reasonable care in providing its own services but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every user’s statements are accurate. Each seller or provider remains responsible for fulfilling their agreement. Payment, promotion, booking and account features apply only when actually available; previews and “Coming Soon” notices are not confirmation that a service is operational. Failed or interrupted payments must be checked against the transaction record before retrying to avoid duplicates.
Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights relating to TradeNest’s own conduct or handling of transactions. TradeNest does not guarantee repayment of every loss or payment made outside the supported process.
15. Restrictions, changes and applicable law
TradeNest may restrict an account for a breach, fraud risk or legal requirement and will explain the reason where permitted. Restriction does not, by itself, forfeit a user’s legitimate transaction funds or remove obligations for open disputes and refunds.
Material changes to these terms will be announced with an effective date. The terms accepted for an existing transaction continue to apply unless a lawful change is necessary or the affected parties agree otherwise.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, subject to any mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules that apply. Parties should first contact TradeNest to attempt a resolution; this does not prevent access to competent authorities or courts.
16. Contact
